More Than an Activity

A space to connect, participate and belong

COPE groups bring people together through shared activities, creativity and meaningful social connection.

From creative workshops and mindfulness activities to community outings and our regular Women's Group, each session provides an opportunity to try something new, spend time with others and enjoy a supportive group environment.

New to COPE? You're welcome here.
You don't need to know anyone beforehand or be an existing COPE participant to come along. Our team will be there to welcome you, help you settle in and support you to participate at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
COPE Women's Group

A relaxed space for connection

Our Women's Group is a welcoming space for women to connect, socialise and take part in different activities throughout the year.

Each session offers something a little different — from creative activities and self-care to food, relaxation and community experiences. The focus is on creating an environment where participants can feel comfortable, included and supported.

Whether you're coming to meet new people, build confidence, explore an interest or simply enjoy being part of a supportive group, you're welcome to join us.

Frequently Asked Questions

Before you join us

Thinking about joining us for the first time? Here are a few things you might like to know before booking.

Do I need to be a current client or participant with COPE to join?

Not at all! Whether you've been part of the COPE community for years, have attended one private session with us, or are completely new to COPE, you're welcome to join our groups.

Our groups are a lovely way to get to know our community, meet new people and experience COPE in a relaxed environment. You don't need to be receiving another COPE service to come along.

What if I feel nervous about attending?

That's completely okay. Joining a new activity or walking into an unfamiliar space can sometimes feel a little daunting.

Our team are here to welcome you, help you find a comfortable space and give you time to settle in. You can participate at your own pace — join in when you want to, take a break when you need one, or simply observe until you feel ready.

Can I use my NDIS funding?

Some groups may be able to be funded through eligible NDIS supports. Funding will depend on your individual plan and circumstances.

We recommend checking with your Support Coordinator or Plan Manager if you're unsure.

Can my support worker attend with me?

We welcome support workers to attend where appropriate. This may depend on the activity, venue and group capacity.

Please check with the COPE administration team at [email protected] before booking if you would like a support worker to attend.

A Companion Card may also be required for certain external activities or venues.

Are materials included?

Yes. Materials and resources are generally included where specified. Any additional costs or items you need to bring will be clearly listed in the individual event information.

If you're ever unsure about what's included, please contact us and our team will be happy to help.

What happens if I can no longer attend?

Our 48-hour late cancellation and no-show policy applies to group bookings.

Please let us know at least 48 hours before your session if you need to cancel to receive a refund. The full session fee applies to cancellations made within 48 hours of the group and to non-attendance.
