Helping You Navigate Attention, Focus & Emotional Well-being

ADHD isn’t a flaw or a failure—it’s a different way of thinking, and with the right support, you can harness your strengths, navigate challenges, and thrive in a way that works for you.

Understanding ADHD

Many people with ADHD feel misunderstood or judged, often internalising feelings of frustration, shame, or inadequacy.

ADHD is more than just difficulty with focus—it can impact motivation, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and relationships. Whether you are seeking an assessment to clarify your experience or therapy to manage challenges, we provide individualised support to help you develop strategies, build self-awareness, and improve daily functioning.

Many people with ADHD feel misunderstood or judged, often internalising feelings of frustration, shame, or inadequacy. These feelings don’t come from nowhere—they stem from years of navigating a world that isn’t always designed for neurodivergent minds. It’s important to recognise that your challenges are not a reflection of your worth but rather a sign of unmet needs, overstimulation, or deeply ingrained coping mechanisms. Exploring these patterns in a safe and supportive space can help uncover new ways of relating to yourself and others, leading to a greater sense of self-acceptance and clarity.

ADHD can also bring unique strengths—creativity, spontaneity, deep focus on areas of passion, and an ability to think outside the box. Learning to harness these qualities while addressing the struggles of executive functioning, emotional regulation, and self-esteem can be transformative. Whether through therapy, self-reflection, or structured support, understanding how your mind works can help you move toward a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and aligned with who you truly are.

What Does The Assessment Process Involve?

At COPE, our registered psychologists conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments for individuals aged 12 and above, delivered over three sessions. These sessions allow us to gather detailed information through:

  • Clinical Interviews to explore your developmental, academic, occupational, and personal history
  • Standardised psychological assessments designed to assess attention, executive functioning, memory, and emotional functioning
  • ADHD-specific questionnaires and symptom rating scales
  • Optional collateral information from family or others who know you well

Our goal is to provide a thorough and affirming evaluation that helps you better understand your strengths, challenges, and needs.

Cost

The total cost of an ADHD diagnostic report at COPE is $850 plus three sessions with a registered psychologist (price varies pending the clinician), which includes:

  • Administration and scoring of psychological assessments
  • A comprehensive written diagnostic report

The first session focuses on gathering detailed background information, including developmental history, academic and work functioning, and the specific concerns that led to the assessment. The second and third session involves the administration of standardised psychological assessments and ADHD-specific questionnaires to evaluate attention, executive functioning, memory, and emotional regulation.
