Social Worker & Counsellor

Lizeth is a social worker and counsellor who provides individual therapy to adults experiencing anxiety and depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, emotional challenges, and concerns related to identity and personality development.

Her approach is psychodynamic, relational, and attachment focused. She is interested not only in the difficulties that bring someone to therapy, but also in understanding the experiences, relationships, and patterns that may underlie them. Lizeth pays particular attention to the ways people have learned to relate to themselves and others, including patterns that may emerge within the therapeutic relationship itself.

Lizeth aims to provide a warm, thoughtful, and non-judgmental therapeutic space where clients can feel genuinely heard and understood. She works collaboratively and with curiosity, recognising that meaningful change often develops through a deeper understanding of ourselves, our relationships, and the ways past experiences continue to shape the present.

Lizeth holds a Master of Social Work and is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) in the United States. She is currently undertaking advanced training in psychodynamic psychotherapy through the International Masterson Institute.
Her professional background spans trauma services, forensic child advocacy, residential psychiatric care, and outpatient psychiatric group therapy. She has experience supporting individuals and families impacted by sexual abuse, family violence, trauma, and complex mental health presentations. A former Trauma Education Fellow, Lizeth currently provides individual therapy, facilitates therapeutic groups in an outpatient psychiatric setting, and volunteers with the Graylands Hospital Volunteer Service (GHVS), supporting psychosocial rehabilitation and community connection.

Lizeth is fluent in English and Spanish and welcomes clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
